In this episode you’ll hear about a new spa — called Spa Girl — opening in Eagle Rock, take in some culture with a feature about the latest art opening at Cactus Gallery, learn about the sad and strange past of the Fatty’s building, and Daily Nosh Guy Dave Klotz lets us in on where to eat around town this Thanksgiving. Plus, we’re introducing a new feature called “Meet Your Neighbor.” This time you’ll meet Mark Wenzel, an 18-year veteran of Eagle Rock who has a very interesting career.

The next episode of ER Talk will be our holiday edition. Do you have a special holiday memory of Eagle Rock? Share your story on the ER Talk Message Board in “Remember When…”.

We’re also looking for Eagle Rock’s hottest spots for holiday gifts. Tell us your favorite in the “Shopping” section of the ER Talk Message Board.

Terrific job, girls. Eagle Rock has come so far! Your idea is a far cry from the days when we had to walk neighborhoods with fliers or use telephone trees to spread the news about what was happening and rally the troops to fight poorly-conceived development. What is occurring now along our boulevards is exactly what we envisioned 20 years ago, yet we never aspired to be anything like either Glendale or Pasadena. We wanted to stand apart by retaining our artiness, funkiness, and edge, and I think we’ve succeeded! Thanks again.

I don’t know when your next podcast is but the TERA newsletter noted a shopping event at the Center for the Arts on Dec 2. This sounds like the coolest way I’ve heard to do the Christmas shopping in the area.
