CALS Middle School located on Figueroa

It is great to see the former headliner company as a school.  Thankfully it is no longer an empty building.

Have you dealt with all of the terrible traffic since this school arrived?
There have been a lot of near-misses. It is only a matter of time before a kid or several kids get
injured or worse.
This is one of the worst locations for a school.
The neighbors should have been able to give their inpute regarding
this school before it was constructed.
Why was this project kept a secret in the first place? The gas station at Figueroa and Colorado notified the neighborhood about its plans to build a carwash, etc.
The secrecy seems wierd.
Was someone afraid of some kind of objection to this location for a school?
Why isn't there a sign on the school designating it as a school after it has been open for several months?

how does the school down the street at Fig and Meridian handle the traffic concerns?

TERA (The Eagle Rock Association) has been working with the school, trying to get them to address the parking issue and to provide a safer space for drop-off and pick-up for students.   See www.tera90041.org.
